LADYBUG is a small quarter horse paint. She is the most curious horse I’ve ever met, and at 7 years old, she loves to play.
Like Shiloh, Ladybug had never had anything done with her when she first came here.
She is smaller than she would normally be because she was starved as a baby. Her first owner fell into hard times and just stopped feeding her and her mother. She also has a big scar on her nose because they left her halter on when she was still growing.
She was rescued and put in a corral. There were good intentions but she did not receive proper nutrition and her feet desperately needed attention.
She is very smart and a fast learner, and she makes you earn your place above her in the pecking order. She can be quite cheeky and has a mind of her own, making her fun to work with and a great teacher!
Meaning behind the name: The life cycle of the adult ladybug is short and therefore teaches us how to release worries and enjoy our lives to the fullest. The ladybug brings a feeling of joy to us. Its small size signifies a delicate and loving nature. In spite of the ladybug’s size, it appears to be fearless. And, God created ladybugs!
